About The Course

The two-day course is designed for government leaders considering implementing Lean-Agile SAFe® practices in their agencies or public-sector organizations. The course can help public sector professional understand how they can build systems that serve more people with higher efficiency by adopting the best Lean-Agile practices.  More importantly, attendees will obtain a Lean-Agile mindset. Once they get this mindset, driving successful organizational change in government agencies will become much more manageable.

Attendees will learn the core practices of the SAFe®. They’ll learn how to lead an Agile program transformation in a government organization while releasing value through Agile Release Trains (ARTs). Additionally, they will learn ways to implement Lean, Agile, and DevOps principles and methodologies within conventional government institutions and cultural contexts. 

Participants will also gain actionable insights on constructing high-performing Lean-Agile teams involving multiple vendors to help deliver government programs efficiently. Attendees will learn ways to adapt technology strategy, budgeting, forecasting, acquisition, compliance, and governance practices to flow-based methodologies in ever-evolving government directives.

Transitioning from a non-SAFe® entity into a SAFe® one to build technology-based capabilities is difficult, especially for government agencies. It involves overcoming complex challenges like legacy governance & multi-vendor environments. The course helps members of the public sector overcome these challenges & make this transition by creating systems to deliver government programs.
