What is ISO certification?
ISO certification is a statement by an accredited certification body that an organization runs a management system meeting the requirements of a published ISO standard. People are certified separately, against a scheme such as PECB.
What is a lead auditor?
A lead auditor plans the audit, leads the audit team, decides what evidence is needed and signs off the findings. The Lead Auditor level is aimed at that accountability rather than at taking part in an audit.
What does an internal auditor do?
An internal auditor checks the organization's own management system against the standard and against its own procedures, then records findings so gaps are corrected before an external audit.
What is ISO compliance?
ISO compliance means the organization works the way a standard requires. Compliance can be shown internally with records and audits. Certification adds an audit by an accredited certification body.
What formats does PECB training come in?
